Our Work

Transforming lives

We engage with various sectors to improve the well-being of children and to help build the nation – one child, one community at a time.

From 2016-2019, we have reached more than 3.1 million children through our child-focused programs, emergency response activities, and advocacy initiatives.

World Vision in the Philippines focuses on improving the well- being of children, especially the most vulnerable. You can find out what we’ve done most recently in our latest Annual Report.

World Vision connects individuals
who want to help those who need support.

We provide sponsors, donors, and partners the opportunity
to enable and empower children to live full and rewarding lives.

We also use approaches that ensure children are cared for,
protected, and can participate, and can experience
the love of God and of their neighbors.

World Vision’s main channel of delivering aid
is through child sponsorship.

Holistic Impact

To provide children with the best opportunities to take on their day-to-day, we prioritize Health and Nutrition, and Education. Our other areas of focus also involve Child Protection, Disaster Preparedness, Livelihood, and Spiritual Nurture.

Our Approach

We are community-led: We work hand-in-hand with the community to fix the root causes of poverty – so every child can grow into who God created them to be.

We are child-focused: We ensure children are empowered to develop healthy minds, bodies, and spirits, so they can achieve long-term success for themselves and their community.

We maximise impact: We combine your monthly donations with those of other sponsors of that community to make the biggest impact on the worst problems children face. In fact, because of our community-focused solutions, for every child you help, four more benefit, too.

Our global impact today

In 2019 alone, World Vision supported 20 million people through 76 global emergency responses, provided 8.6 million people with food, and helped 3.4 million people to gain access to clean water. Through Child Sponsorship, 3.4 million vulnerable children were given a second chance in life. To see more of our global impact, download our most recent Partnership Update.

Our Promise

Our strategy calls us to focus relentlessly on eradicating poverty in all its forms, in line with the goals of the Sustainable Development Agenda. The COVID-19 pandemic has exposed the global inequalities that the most vulnerable children and their families suffer from. This is why our focus will and must remain on the biggest threats to children. Learn more about our partnership-wide campaign that aims to bring extreme poverty to an end by 2030.

We are prayerfully aware of the uncertainties before us but are also led by our Christian faith.

We will continue to partner with the poor and oppressed to tackle the challenges of COVID-19 and its aftershocks.

Our greater aim is to achieve hope, joy, and justice for all children.

World Vision was born in a crisis 70 years ago and we believe it is called for such a time as this.

Together, we will change the course of history for vulnerable children.
