World Vision celebrates 65 years of Caring for Children
World Vision has been committed to protecting and caring for those in need, particularly children. It all started when our founder Bob Pierce gave the last $5 in his pocket to help care for an abandoned Chinese girl in 1947. Through the years, World Vision has gone to where others would not. We’ve even reached the point of purchasing a large ship to rescue Vietnamese refugees in 1979. We believe that God is in the places where it is hardest to be a child—and we should be there too. So our mission continues to this day.
